They've been responsive and asked for my logs, which I sent them a few weeks ago. I've emailed support several times, with detailed descriptions of the several problems this version of the app has, including the inablilty to completely shut it down without restarting the computer or logging off the user account. The good news is that this means fixing the broken mod management with an update should be pretty quick. The core functionality of the app continues to be grounded in the Curse Client, as we can see with files with names like CurseClientUpdater.exe and ttings. Version 8.0 made many changes since 7.6, but they're mostly to do with the interface. The Twitch app v8.0 has had some incredibly embarrassing bugs, including one where the auto-updater would "update" back to version 7.6, overwriting files and completely corrupting the install.
